Prepare a controlled test
Record the app version, Android version, package configuration and the time of the test. Use a staging account with sample information rather than a real customer account. Prepare the expected steps: install the build, launch it, grant required permissions, sign in and complete a representative action. If your release depends on Play certification or specific device hardware, confirm that support before making the cloud phone part of your release process.
Exercise meaningful paths
Check first launch, validation errors, navigation, keyboard behaviour and different text lengths. Include a failed login, an expired session and an interrupted network action. If your workflow permits changing display settings, see whether important controls remain usable. Keep financial transactions in your application's sandbox. A successful app launch does not establish that notifications, payments, location, media recording and all background behaviours will also work.
Report reproducible results
For each issue, capture the exact steps, expected outcome, actual outcome and configuration. A screenshot can show a layout problem, while a short screen recording may explain an interaction. Remove secrets and personal data before sharing evidence. Repeat the test to distinguish a consistent defect from a temporary stream interruption. Test critical releases on physical devices too, especially when the feature depends on sensors or network behaviour that the hosted environment does not represent.
Can I assume every APK will install?
No. Compatibility depends on Android version, package architecture, signing, app requirements and provider restrictions.
